Yvonne and Mike offer you a warm welcome at 'Monplaisir', a renovated farmhouse close to the market towns of Samatan and Lombez in the east of the Gers region.
Located in the village of Monblanc in the midst of rolling farmland just 45 minutes from Toulouse Blagnac airport, Monplaisir is an ideal base for excursions to the many places of interest in this region: Samatan, the capital of Foie gras , and it's famous market; Toulouse - le cité rose; Carcassone mediaeval walled city; the Pyrenees; Lourdes; the vineyards of the Bordeaux region, and so much more...
AccommodationTwo spacious guest rooms with ensuite facilities are provided in newly renovated accommodation which retains several features of the original building. A cot for a baby can be added to each room. |

North Room, a double room of about 18 sqm, can accommodate an additional 2 persons on a bed-settee, and has views over the gardens at the rear of the property. South Room is light and airy overlooking the south face of the property. It is slightly larger at 20 sqm, has a double bed plus a third bed so that up to 3 persons can be accommodated in comfort. |

Facilities

Open all year. Parking. Tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi access. TV. Plenty of outside play area for kids! Monplaisir is also home to the Laine & Co needlecraft centre; lessons or courses in a variety of needlecrafts are available, as are all the facilities of the centre. Please enquire about our special weekend and 3-day "sightseeing & craft" breaks, which include free airport pickup as required.

For your evening and other meals there are a number of restaurants and bars in nearby Samatan (6km) and Lombez (7km). We can recommend both the Bar de la Fontaine and the Coté Sud restaurant in the centre of Samatan for relaxing drinks and dining. For other suggestions, see below.
